| Description
| - Perciformní ryby z podřádu Notothenioidei jsou vzácným příkladem adaptivní radiace v moři, ale mechanismus speciace v tomto prostředí zůstává víceméně neznámý. V navrhovaném projektu se zaměříme na robustní rekonstrukci fylogenetických vztahů mezi dvěma skupinami podřádu pomocí multilokusového přístupu a na studium vnitrodruhové diferenciace několika vybraných druhů za účelem a) popsat obecné vzory mezipopulační divergence, b) sledovat, zda druhy lišící se svou ekologií reagovaly rozdílně na Pleistocénní klimatické oscilace, c) přesně datovat kladogenetické události a d) určit ekologické faktory, které hrály významnou roli při diferenciaci skupiny. Ve výsledku tak popíšeme mechanismus speciace studované skupiny a mechanismy ovlivňující vnitrodruhovou diferenciaci. (cs)
- Cicrumantarctic waters harbour a rare example of marine species flocks - perciform fishes of the suborder Notothenioidei. The mechanisms of speciation in the sea remain poorly understood, however. In the proposed project, we will compare historical demography and phylogeographic patterns of several species of shelf fish and reconstruct their phylogenetic relationships using several unlinked genes in order to a) describe general patterns in geographic population structure, b) test the hypothesis that species differing in ecological preferences reacted differently to Quarternary climatic oscillations, c) place the cladogenetic events into robust time frame and d) assess the ecologic traits that played role in clade diversification by mapping them on phylogenetic tree. In result, we shall describe the speciation mechanisms in studied group and evaluate different mechanisms shaping the intraspecific diversity. (en)
