Description
  • Central Bohemia is a region with wide-spread population during the neolitic and Aeneolitic period, with numerous stony artifact findings. From the systematic studies of stony artifact from the Natioal Museum in Prague, the Museum of the City of Prague, the Museum in Roztoky near Prague and in Brandýs nad Labem, and from the depot of stony artifact in Mšeno it was found by the applicant that the material commonly used werre actinolite-and amphibole-actinolite schists with distinct radial structure. Thismaterial is found all over Central Europe. Comparative systematic studies of some regions of the Czech Massif have shown that the stony artifact are identical to rocks which were found in Jizera Mts. localities of these rocks in order to prove their identity with the materials of the stony artifacts. The goal of the project is to find primary localities of the rocks, identical to the materail of artifacts. This may help tracing the distribution of stony artifact from Bohemia to Europe. (en)
(cs)
