| - "To study the effect of the main factors influencing cumulative damage generated in thin-walled systems subjected to many times repeated loading. In so doing, to extend the successful solution of the project ""Damage cumulation and the fatigue limit state of thin-walled systems"" during the period 1997-1999. As it became manifest that the large scatter of the results obtained was due to the impact of various factors of geometrical, material and structural nature, to perform further investigations with the aim to ""map"" the influence of these factors on the initiation and propagation of fatigue cracks and to establish a reliable procedure such as to take them into account in structural design." - "Studium faktorů ovlivňujících kumulaci poškození, k níž dochází v tenkostěnných soustavách (především u ocelových mostů a podobných konstrukcí) namáhaných mnohonásobně opakovaným zatížením. Přitom navázat na úspěšné řešení projektu ""Kumulace poškození a mezní stav únavy tenkostěnných systémů"" v období 1997-9, při němž byly získány cenné informace o mechanismu porušení tenkostěnných nosníků. Ježto se při tomto výzkumu ukázalo, že výsledky vykazují značný rozptyl, jenž je dán účinkem řady faktorů geometrické, materiálové a strukturální povahy, uskutečnit další teoretické a experimentální studia s cílem ""zmapovat"" vliv těchto faktorů na iniciaci a šíření únavových trhlin a odvodit spolehlivý postup umožňující vzít vliv těchto faktorů v úvahu při návrhu konstrukce."
