| Description
| - Operator theory and function theory in the Bergman space is a relatively new field of functional analysis which has recently undergone a rapid development and which has close ties with other branches of mathematics (PDE, complex analysis, potential theory). The proposed project would concentrate on four topics in this area: the problem of the asymptotic behaviour of weighted reproducing (Bergman) space functions, a study of algebras of covariant operators, and slected questions concerning Toeplitz and Hankel operators on the Bergman space. These problems have applications in mathematical physics (quantization on Kähler manifolds), differential geometry, potential theory (mean-value properties) and operator theory (the invariant subspace problem). - "Teorie funkcí a operátorů v Bergmanově prostoru je relativně nové odvětví funkcionální analýzy, které se v poslední době rychle rozvíjí a které má těsnou vazbu na další oblasti matematiky (parciální diferenciální rovnice, komplexní analýza, teorie potenciálu). Projekt by se zabýval čtyřmi okruhy problémů v této oblasti: problémem asymptotiky Bergmanových reprodukujících jader, problémem tzv. ""inner-outer"" faktorizace a dominace funkcí v Bergmanově prostoru, studiem algeber kovariantních operátorů a otázkami souvisejícími s Toeplitzovými a Hankelovými operátory na Bergmanově prostoru. Uvedené problémy mají bezprostřední aplikace v matematické fyzice (teorie kvantování na Kählerových varietách), diferenciální geometrii, teorii potenciálu (vlastnosti průměru) a teorii operátorů (otázka existence invariantních podprostorů)."
