  • The pamoate salt of imipramine, a synthetic dibenzazepine derivative with anti-depressant activity. Imipramine pamoate, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) potentiates the activity of adrenergic synapses by blocking the re-uptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, thereby preventing their degradation and increasing their availability.
