| Description
| - The Czech Republic is entering its second decade of economic and political transformation. Previously, a variety of theoretical approaches were introduced to study and determine the optimal transition process to a market economy. The accumulation of data about the behavior of the Czech economy, both on micro and macro levels, is an unquestionable advantage compared to prior periods. A main scientific goal of the institute has been to perform detailed empirical analyses of economic processes and individual behavior experienced also during transition. The institute will focus its research on studying the effects of intentional administrative interventions as well as circumstantial conditions on the development of the economy. These attained results will be used to create economic models to describe and predict the behavior of economic subjects, particularly during the future integration of the CR into the EU. The institute's editorial activites will support the dissemination of findings. (en)
- Česká republika vstoupí zanedlouho do druhé dekády hospodářské a společenské transformace. Dosavadní období přineslo celou řadu teoretických přístupů a poznatků ke studiu optimální transformace z plánovaného na tržní hospodářství. Nespornou výhodou je, že předešlé období zároveň poskytuje dostatek údajů o chování ekonomiky a to jak na mikro, tak i na makro úrovni. Jedním z hlavních vědeckých cílů ústavu je provést detailní empirické analýzy ekonomických procesů včetně chování jednotlivců, které pozorujeme i v transformačním období. Součástí výzkumu bude i studium reakcí ekonomiky na objektivní a administrativní zásahy do systému hospodářských vztahů. Následná kvantitativní analýza využije předchozích výsledků k vytváření ekonomických modelů a scénářů, jež by měly popsat chování ekonomických subjektů v dalším období, charakterizovaném především postupnou integrací České republiky do Evropské unie. Rozšíření výsledků výzkumu bude mimo jiné realizováno i vlastní ediční činností ústavu.
