Description
| - Hydrophobic substances (phthalocy anines) tend to aggregate in hydrophilic environment (bloodstream) and as a result they can lose their unique properties (photosensitivity). This can be overcome by encapsulating the substances into a drug delivery carrier, e.g. spheres from a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer. In thispaper polycaprolactone (PCL) spheres were synthetized by electrospraying, a method for preparation of polymeric micro- and nanospheres by high voltage application to a jet of polymer solution. The concentration dependence of PCL solution was investigated in the range of 1 % PCL solution to 10 % PCL solution. The samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The 7 % and 8 % PCL solutions seem to be the best concentration for PCL spheres preparation.
