Description
| - With the support of Operational Program Research and Development for Innovation was established on Faculty of Mining and Geology, VSB - Technical University of Ostrava ICT project - Institute of Clean Technologies for Mining and Utilization of Raw Materials for Energy Use (CZ.1.05/2.1.00/03.0082). The main objective of the project is to create a unique centre (just one in the Czech Republic), which will preferentially deal with the research of problems in the area of extraction and utilization of energy resources and further exploitation of the geological environment, while ensuring the sustainable development and the requirement for maximum self-sufficiency in raw materials, which is becoming a key priority for the member states of the European Union. Within of research program “Polyphase Geological Environment” was creating unique Laboratory of Wells and Hydrocarbon Deposits Stimulation. This laboratory has modern laboratory equipment for sample permeability measurement of rock and technical materials in pressure and temperature condition. This workplace with some others faculty departments can for example determine all parameters for Shale Gas deposits (i.e. TOC, maturity level – vitrine reflectance, mineralogy, thickness and organic matter type, permeability, porosity, etc.). Main research of our laboratory is study of enhanced oil recovery methods and study of increasing of underground gas deposit capacity. Main laboratory equipment there are diphase permeametres (BRP 350, FDS 350), capillary pressure measurement and retort oven, all Vinci Tech. France, tensiometer (100MK 2, Krűss GmbH), densitometer (DMA 4500, Anton Paar GmbH), etc. This laboratory equipment with combination of other 15 workplace create unique centre in Central Europe.
