Description
  • We present new methods of image reduction/ enlargement that are based on the direct/inverse F-transform and their applications to medical image processing. We propose two new criteria (HE and GHE) for estimation a sharpness of reduced/enlarged images. We show that in both cases of reduction and enlargement, the F-transform based methods (a) are fully comparable with those chosen as referential from the considered criteria point of view, and (b) are better from the complexity point of view. The applications of presented methods to medical image reduction/enlargement are discussed. The combination of enlargement and sharpening is demonstrated.
