Description	Energy of the blasts spreads through different kinds of environment, mainly through air and ground. Ground forces have empiric formulas how to assess and diminish effects of the blast energy on different structures, namely residential. Safety distance is the first result how to apply those formulas into praxis. Focussing on blast energy propagation through ground, it is attenuated by third root of the explosive mass, as stated in those empiric formulas. Despite of this fact, calculations sometimes produce “optimistic” predictions in comparison with a real effect of blasting works on adjacent structures. This article tries to explain, how geology brought affected approved calculations in the negative manner.
