  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of sire, BCS and BW to the fertility of dairy cows. The influence of BCS and BW to the length of service period was confirmed and simultaneously the statistically significant correlation between the loss of BCS and BW was proved. There was found no significant influence of the sire to his daughters´ fertility because of low heritability and low number of observed daughters. The differences among particular groups suggestive some influence of the sire.With respect to present decreasing fertility in dairy cattle it is important to be engaged in the bulls fertility, monitor and evaluate their results and include them into the selection indexes.

  • Cílem práce bylo vyhodnotit vliv otce, tělesné kondice a živé hmotnosti na plodnost dojnic. Byl potvrzen vliv tělesné kondice a živé hmotnosti na délku servis periody a současně prokázána statisticky významná korelace mezi poklesem kondičního skóre a živou hmotností. Nebyl zjištěn průkazný vliv otce na plodnost dcer, z důvodu nízké heritability a nízkého počtu dcer. Rozdíly mezi jednotlivými skupinami vliv otce naznačují. S ohledem na současné zhoršování plodnosti u dojených krav je důležité do selekčních indexů zahrnout plodnost býků, její monitorování a vyhodnocení jejich výsledků. (cs)
