Description	Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been one of the general aggregate indicators used for decision-making on a macroeconomic level for a long time. Within the last decades the appropriateness of this indicator for policy-making was argued in number of discussions. One of the alternatives is an Environmentally Adjusted GDP (eaGDP) indicator. In the first part of the paper, the brief history of national accounting is provided. The second part is devoted to the criticism of the conventional GDP indicator. The third part deals with the environmental extensions of the SNA. Finally, the conception, possible uses and weaknesses of eaGDP are discussed. (en) Hrubý domácí produkt (HDP) je už po dlouhou dobu jedním z hlavních agregátních indikátorů používaných pro rozhodování na makroekonomické úrovni. Během posledních desetiletí byla v rámci mnoha diskusí zpochybněna vhodnost HDP jako indikátoru pro politická rozhodnutí. Jedním z alternativních indikátorů je environmentálně upravený HDP (eaGDP). V úvodu článku je uvedena stručná historie národního účetnictví. Následující část se zabývá kritikou indikátoru HDP. Třetí část článku uvádí cesty environmentálního rozšiřování SNÚ. Na závěr je popsána koncepce, možné způsoby využití a slabé stránky eaGDP. (cs)
