Description	"A handbook The world of ""pocket novel"" bibliographically discovers 2028 volumes published within the years 1935-51 in all of then existing thirteen Czech pulp magazines. These novel periodicals represented the madia innovation of the 1930 and followed the pattern of similar American and West European enterprises. The ""pocket novel"" magazines constituted point intersection of Czech popular culture of their time, they influenced both literature and the field of film, theatre, the fine arts, they mirrored social and political changes in general. The handbook opens Czech ""pulps"" as a source of material for those interesed in the history of Czech popular culture, comparative culture studies, history of everyday life, literary of film, or the visualculture. The starting point of the book is a complete list of the novels published in Czech ""pulps"" and a selected excerpts of their journalistic columns. The half of the extent of the book is formed by an introductory study and a dictionary-like index." (en) Příručka Svět rodokapsu bibliograficky objevuje 2028 svazků, jež v letech 1935-51 vyšly ve všech tehdy existujících 13 česky psaných sešitových románových edicích. Románová periodika byla u nás mediální inovací (z dnešního pohledu čímsi jako komerční televizí) 30.let. Navazovala na podobné podniky americké a západoevropské. Sešitové edice tvořily průsečík české populární kultury, kromě literatury zasahovaly do oblasti filmu, divadla, výtvarné kultury, zrcadlily obecně společenské a politické proměny.Příručka otevírá sešitové edice jako pramenný materiál pro odborné zájemce o dějiny české populární kultury, srovnávací kulturní studia, dějiny každodennosti a mentalit, literární historiografii, historiky filmu, vizuální kultury. Východiskem příručky jekompletní soupis románů ze sešitových edic a výběrová excerpce jejich publicistických rubrik. Polovinu rozsahu publikace tvoří úvodní studie a slovníkový rejstřík více než 500 spolupracovníků a přispěvatelů edic. (cs)
