Description	This article summarizes the findings and developments made in the area of ant algorithms and it deals with the possibilities of how to apply these principles in the area of robotics. The article sums up different variants of ant systems and chooses potentially suitable algorithms for the concept of the walk mechanism of a walking robot. At the conclusion, the article drafts a simulator model which will serve for experimental verification of theoretical conclusions arising from this article.
