  • During the process of integration of foreign genes into plant genome, the assessment of the performance of a foreign gene in recipient plant is highly desirable. In the experiments aimed at the qualitative improvement of various plant traits via insertion of one or a few genes, the content of a new, recombinant protein is one of the main concerns of plant transgenosis. Beside the exact methods of direct determination of the protein content, indirect estimations based on the performance of a linked marker gene(s) is available and in many cases reliable and sufficient enough. Here we present the attempts to relatively quantify the performance of the green fluorescent protein (GFP) marker in the leaves of transgenic tobacco, based on the measurements of its fluorescence.

  • V průběhu integrace cizích genů do rostlinného genomu je velmi žádoucí vyhodnocení jejich projevu v rostlině příjemce. V pokusech zaměřených na zlepšení různých kvalitativních ukazatelů prostřednictvím začlenění jednoho nebo několika málo genů, je jedním ze středů pozornosti transgenoze rostlin obsah rekonbinantního proteinu. Daná práce je zaměřena na relativní kvantifikaci exprese markerového genu pro zeleně fluoreskující protein (GFP) v listech transgegních rostlin tabáku na základě stanovení úrovně jeho fluorescence.
