Description
| - The external thermal insulation contact systems (ETICS) have been massively applied for the reduction of energy consumption in large block of flats in the Czech Republic in the last two decades, as well as in some new buildings. The engineering practice shows that, in addition to the thermal conduction characteristics, the surface radiation properties can affect the expected result substantially, thus they should be involved into the ETICS design. This paper presents an original, relatively simple computational tool for the evaluation of the effect of the thickness of particular layers, namely of the outer one, to the prevention of the temperature decrease under the dew-point temperature, creating, thanks to the presence of liquid water, good conditions for the life of various unwelcome microorganisms.
