The main objective of the project is to clarify spread and unknown parameters of the populations of some conditionally pathogenic mycobacteria and their ecology v fish, water environment and fish foodstuff. Our results will also characterise survival of important conditionally pathogenic mycobacteria in selected foodstuffs produced from fish meat and their impact onto the health of farm animals and humans. Next part of the project will be focused on development of culture independent methods for fast and easy detection and identification of causal agents of mycobacterial diseases directly from the tissue of the hosts (fish, fish products, livestock and human) and in the environment (water, sediments, biofilms, ichtophagous predators etc.) by molecular biology techniques. Zjistit výskyt a objasnit cirkulaci podmíněně patogenních mykobakterií u sladkovodních ryb a ve sladkovodním prostředí, zjistit cesty infekce a zdravotní význam pro hospodářská zvířata a člověka, zjistit úroveň zdravotní nezávadnosti rybích výrobků.
