Description
  • The filamentary materials are mechanically resistant, hefty and simultaneously soft, porous and flyaway. Synergy of these properties predestinates them for special usage in technical and clothing branches. Project is based on basic research of 1. filamentary layers (general, consolidated and with preferred direction of fibers) and of 2. formations from the threads (yarns, woven and knitted fabrics), in point of view of a) morphology (geometry, structure) of fibers and threads in these formations and of b) mechanical behavior (especially axial and biaxial tensioning). Methodic of solution is based on experimental (image analysis and dynamometers) and theoretical research (deterministic and stochastic modeling). Team of 18 researchers (4 Professors, 2 Assoc. Professors, 6 PhD., 5 Engineers) and students of master degree will solve project. Output of project solving will be a) publications in journals, on international conferences and 1 monograph, b) recommendation for structural calculations of filamentary materials, c) presentation during education of our and external students.
