Description	The aim of this study was to follow changes in the content of macro- and microelements in sheep colostrum during 72 hours post partum. Colostrum of Merinolandschaf sheep in the second lactation was sampled at the intervals of 2, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 hours after parturition, in the period of February-March. The content of macroelements (Na, K, Ca, Mg and P) and microelements (Zn, Cu, Mn and Fe) was determined using the apparatus SPECTRAL AA 30 (Varian). Concentration of Zn and Fe decreased within 2-48 hours from 45.09 to 11.14 mg.l-1 and from 1.76 to 0,81 mg.l-1, respectively. The content of Cu and Mn increased from 0,59 to 1.09 mg.l-1 (within 2-72 hours) and from 0.29 to 0.42 mg.l-1 (within 2-24 hours), resp. The concentration of Ca fluctuated slightly. The amount of Mg, Na and P decreased from 0.26 to 0.13 g.l-1 (during 2-48 hours), from 0.52 to 0.38 g.l-1 (during 2-48 hours) and from 0.27 to 0.20 g.l-1 (during 2-24 hours), respectively.
