Description
  • Following work deals with PVC/clay nanocomposites. The first intercalated nanofillers were prepared. Two types of natural clays were selected for modification, sodium type of montmorillonite and bentonite, namely Cloisite(R) Na+ and Bentonite P140. These clays were modified by ion-exchange and ion-dipole intercalation methods. While the first coupling agent, cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, the second modified agent, polyethylene glycol and plasticizers as a co-intercalation agent, was mixed with the clay and than melted. Further, these nanofillers were compared by X-ray diffraction. Consequently, the modified nanofillers, as well as the natural fillers were compounded with suspension type of PVC. Next, samples were done and following properties were measured: mechanical properties, thermal stability and flammability.

  • Následující práce pojednává o PVC/jíl nanokompozitech. Nejdříve se modifikovala plniva. K tomu byly použity dva přírodní jíly, montmorilonit a bentonit, které byly modifikovány ion dipólovou a ion výměnnou metodou. Pro první typ jílu byl jako interkalační činidlo použit cetyltrimetylammoniumchlorid, pro druhý polyetylénglykol jako interkalační činidlo a změkčovadlo jako ko-interkalační činidlo. Účinnost modifikace těchto plniv byla srovnávána na rentgenové difrakci. Následně se tato plniva smíchala se suspenzním typem PVC. Na připravených vzorcích byly testovány mechanické vlastnosti, teplotní stabilita a hořlavost. (cs)
