  • The effect of pressure and temperature on the flow properties of PIM compounds, containing carbide powder and thermoplastic binder, was studied using modified capillary rheometer. Pressure and temperature affected shear viscosity of binder has been quantified by the help of pressure and temperature sensitivity coefficients through fitting of this complex data with modified White-Metzner model. Both temperature and pressure sensitivity coefficients are largely dependent on pressure and temperature, respectively, and also on material structure. Increasing of the powder loading diminishes the pressure sensitivity of the flow properties of the PIM compounds.

  • Příspěvek je věnován poznání vlivu tlaku a teploty na tokové chování materiálů tvořených karbidovým práškem a polymerním plnivem, které jsou určeny pro zpracování PIM (Powder Injection Moulding) technologií. Tlaková a teplotní závislost viskozity polymerního pojiva byla kvantifikována pomocí tlakových a teplotních koeficientů získaných fitováním modifikovaného White-Metznerova modelu. Bylo zjištěno, že zatímco tlakové koeficienty jsou silně závislé na teplotě, teplotní jsou ovlivněny tlakem. Dále bylo ukázáno, že rostoucí zastoupení karbidového prášku snižuje citlivost tokového chování PIM směsi vůči tlaku. (cs)
