  • A new method for filtering of ultrasonic signal using discrete wavelet transform is presented. The method is based on the thresholding of wavelet coefficients using local threshold related to the standard deviation of the decomposed signal. The proposed approach was tested on coarse grain materials used for airplane engines and on simulated signals with artificial noise.
