Description
| - The paper addresses one of the issues in educational research - the social selectivity of Czech basic and secondary education. Special attention is paid for International Student Assessment 2000 study corroborate the initial hypothesis according to which multi-year gymnasia, introduced into the Czech educational system after 1989, represent one of the main sources of the variation in students´ achievements at the end of compulsory education. This variation can be almost entirely accounted for by the specific socio-economic background of the students and for their future aspirations, while the added value of the school is negligible.

- Studie se zabývá jedním z velkých problémů vzdělávacího výzkumu – sociální selektivitou českého základního a středního školství. Velká pozornost je věnována výsledkům projektu PISA 2000, které dokazují, že víceletá gymnázia, která byla u nás zavedena po roce 1989, představují významný zdroj nerovností v dovednostech studentů na konci základního vzdělávání. Tyto nerovnosti ovšem jsou téměř vysvětlitelné sociálně-ekonomickým původem studentů a jejich budoucími aspiracemi (přidaná hodnota školy je zanedbatelná). (cs)
