Description
  • Single crystals of superalloys CMSX-4 and CM186LC were subjected to ultra-high-cycle fatigue at high mean stresses to model the effect of vibrations superimposed on sustained load. For small amplitudes of the cyclic stress superimposed on the sustained stress the time to fracture is slightly increasing with increasing stress amplitude. This trend is reversed for higher stress amplitudes where the time to fracture quickly decreases with increasing stress amplitude. Cyclic stress component leads to formation of persistent slip bands. These bands represent sites for the initiation (in interaction with casting pores and other defects) and early propagation of fatigue cracks.

  • Monokrystaly superslitin CMSX-4 a CM186LC byly podrobeny ultravysokocyklové únavě při vysokých středních napětích tak, aby byly simulovány vibrace namodulovaníé na konstantní napětí. Pro malé amplitudy cyklického napětí doba do lomu roste s rostoucí amplitudou. Tento trend je obrácený pro větší amplitudy - doba do lomu rychle klesá s rostoucí amplitudou. Cyklická komponenta napětí vede k tvorbě perzistetntních skluzových pásem. Tato pásma reprezentují iniciační místa (v interakci s licími póry a dalšími defekty)a rovněž dráhu pro počáteční růst únavových trhlin. (cs)
