Description	In combined treatment tumor necrosis factor alfa did not influence significantly the antiproliferative effects of sodium butyrate (NaBt) but, contrary to its potentiation of apoptosis, it markedly reduces NaBt-induced differentiation of HT-29 human colon adenocarcinoma cells. Thus, the balance between proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis in regulation may be impaired.
