Description
  • The ARRAS system is a software for support of a timely reaction in case of a hazardous atmospheric release. It is based on the numerical weather prediction model WRF and a suitable chemistry transport model, e.g. WRF-Chem or CMAQ. It enables simulation of transport and dispersion of a hazardous compound, using 3D meteorological fields and an eulerian chemistry transport model. It uses a domain of 40x40 gridpoints, constructed around the release location, with horizontal resolution of 1 km. The initial and boundary conditions are taken from operational mesoscale prediction on mother domains.
