Description
  • When teaching translation to Travel & Tourism Management students specializing in the German language at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, the University of Hradec Králové, besides face-to-face in –class teaching, it is also possible to use a virtual learning environment BlackBoard (version 9) to support and develop required skills. The e-learning course includes entry theoretical presumptions and topics for reflection, as well as a big number of assignments and exercises. Gradually increasing demands of the tasks, and the increasing portion of creativity in the assignments, aiming to increase the competences not only in the foreign language, but also in the mother tongue, are reflected in strengthening the complex approach to the text. From this point of view, what we see as the desired approach is above all the hermeneutic approach, which emphasizes the context and different levels of understanding the subject matter. The article also contains examples of creative exercises.
