Description
| - An increased input of mineral nutrients containing phosphorus and nitrogen leads to eutrophication of surface water. Eutrophication is characterized by an excessive primary production of photosynthesizing organisms (algal bloom) which results in decreasing levels of dissolved oxygen. The Redfield ratio, i.e. the ratio between nitrogen and phosphorus (phosphorus being a crucial element), is a critical parameter of phytoplankton growing. The study will address the problem of determination of the total level of phosphorus in samples of waste water taken from agricultural farms and food-processing plants. Prior to theanalysis, the samples will be subjected to microwave decomposition in order to ensure better reproducibility of the results. The total level of phosphorus will be determined spectrophotometrically as the phosphomolybdate blue. The results of the study will be compared with the limits defined in the effective legislation (the limits are established for individual agricultural and industrial br

- Zvyšování obsahu anorganických živin obsahujících fosfor a dusík vede k eutrofizaci povrchových vod. Eutrofizace je charakterizována intenzivnější primární produkci biomasy (vodní květ), která souvisí s poklesem rozpuštěného kyslíku. Za kritický parametr růstu fytoplanktonu se považuje Redfieldův poměr, tj. poměr mezi dusíkem a fosforem (rozhodující je fosfor). Studie se zabývá problematikou stanovení celkového fosforu ve vzorcích odpadních vod pocházejících ze zemědělských podniků a potravinářského průmyslu. Vlastní analýze předchází mikrovlnný rozklad vzorku, který zajišťuje lepší reprodukovatelnost výsledků. Celkový fosfor se pak stanoví spektrofotometricky na fosfomolybdenovou modř. Výsledky byly porovnány s platnou legislativou (limity jsou stanoveny pro příslušné odvětví zemědělství a průmyslu). (cs)
