Description	Records on Scotch pine were exceptionally rare in the CR and also in Europe up to spring 2008. Large Scotch pine plantations (several hectares), infested by Dothistroma septospora, about 10 years old, were registered in Southern Bohemia, in Forest district Nove Hrady, Trebon area (see map CR) in March, 2008. Some other large infestations were registered also on Scotch pine in peat bog in this area - Sobeslavska blata, while surrounding commercial forest was not affected. In the same time, there was noticed a large outbreak of Dothistroma needle blight on Scotch pine in Central Finland. Dothistroma septospora was observed in large areas in natural Scots pine stands in Central Finland in spring 2008. Situation has in some areas epidemic character, infected are mostly stands 5-15 years old, infection was also observed in 60-80 years stands of Scotch pine. Typical symptoms as red bands and acervuli were found in all studied (36) plots around Pieksamaki, Ahtari, Toysä, Jyväskylä, Tuomarniemi, national park Records on Scotch pine were exceptionally rare in the CR and also in Europe up to spring 2008.
