Description
  • The presented study focuses on characterisation of dynamic nature of links between an organism and soil ecosystem based on particular investigations in trophic (nutritional) networks. The multidisciplinary approach to detection and description of links between soil dynamics and biota was based on analyses of ecological status of soil saprophagous organisms and their relationships with both decomposition of high-molecular substances and soil predators/parasites. Decomposition of organic matter in soil was considered as a joint venture of soil microflora and fauna where the fauna does not play just a role of the consumer of dead organic matter but consumes bacteria/fungi, too. In topsoil, organic matter turnover plays a crucial role for cycling of elements; therefore, the studies of decomposition, humification and mineralization are suggested to be based on investigations of particular interrelationships and mutual regulations within soil communities from the viewpoint of successive development of the s
