Description
  • Plants belong to important parts of river ecosystem and are connected with soil processes and hence with soil physical / chemical properties. This fact is the base for heavy-metal monitoring of soil and plant as well. In this case nettle (Urtica dioica L.) and dandelion (Taraxacum officinale sect. Ruderalia Kirschner, H. Ollgraad et Štěpánek) were chosen. Representative samples of plants on the sites situated near a shore of Morava River and across the PLA were picked. Processed samples were submitted to Zn, Ni, Cu, Pb and Cd analysis by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. There was stated the concentration of heavy metals at any testing place in The Litoveské Pomoraví PLA was not exceeded the Czech limits for HM content in soil and plants tissues. The concentration of tested heavy metals negatively correlates with an altitude of the sites. Allocation differences between species of tested may be derived from (Raunkiaer) live-forms. It was not confirmed theory in all plants the roots accumulat
