| - This article based on previous work of the solvers team of expert commit-tee on economic CFS (Czech Foundry Society). In the last project (PROJECT XII, subsequently PROJECT XIII) focuses on the final stage of production - finishing casting. Develop a methodology to determine the cost was devoted to five foun-dries. In 21 casts were set straight and processing costs and by production phases. PXII results were extended to other aspects that assess the production of castings from other angles. PROJECT XIII closely related to the study PROJECT XII (PXII) and is based on the ideas of complexity and assess the influence of the shape of the casting at the expense of finishing. PXIII not separately consider the cost of finishing, but also extends view load rating of eight characteristics that dressings evaluated in terms of regularity in kind between cost and performance. Post expands the view of cost assessment of the production phase finishing efficiency indicators that evaluate this phase of casting in terms of material, energy and time and dedicated to the search for patterns between the cost and characteristics in kind and finding characteristic quantities of castings, which could then allow to a certain accurate determination of the cost of this production stage. Assessment of cost effectiveness and efficiency indicators selected finish castings were performed at 20 castings. Half the cast was made of steel and half of lamellar graphite cast iron. Post indicates possible outcomes and results of cost reduction. It is a completely initial assessment of selected difficulty finishing. This task is under the Czech and probably European foundry solved by first time.
