Description
| - The limitations of wastewater bio-treatments have challenged cell biologists and bioengineers to search for new approaches to upgrade the function and stability of these processes. In this connection, the E! 3100 CAWAB project has been trying, among others, to find a widely applicable approach to optimize the clean up efficiency through enhanced capability of fungal biodegraders both to tolerate pollutant toxicity or stressing conditions of the environment and to utilize less accessible pollutants.

- Omezení, která jsou spojena s biologickou úpravou odpadních vod stimulují hledání nových přístupů, které by zlepšily a stabilizovaly tyto procesy. V této souvislosti projekt E1 3100 CAWAB hledá, mimo další, způsoby posilující schopnost biodegradérů tolerovat jak cytotoxický efekt polutantů, tak vliv stresorů prostředí, a dále způsoby zvýšení dostupnosti hydrofobních polutantů.
