Description
| - Altogether 16 species have been found or recorded in the study area (37.2 % of the total Czech black fly fauna). Only one species (P. tomosvaryi) was not recorded in the study area prior to recent research made by the staff of the Czech University of Agriculture. Most of the species found were Palaearctic in distribution. The localities with the most diverse black fly species appears to be Liščí skála (7 species found) followed by Havraníky, Braitava and Pod Šobesem (5 species found). However, as we mentioned, only materials from the first year of study (2001) was elaborated. The most common species in the study area was S. ornatum, and the most rare are S. tomosvaryi and S. angustitarse.
