Most of the species found are Holarctic in distribution (22 species, 51.2 %), followed by European (6 species, 14 %),temperate European (5 species, 11.6 %) and Palaearctic species (4 species, 9.3 %), smaller part belongs to Eurosiberian, Cosmopolitan or temperate and North European elements (3, 2, and 1 species respectively). One species reported here represents first findings in the Czech Republic: F. norvegica (Chloumek, hilltop steppe, 24.vii. - 24.viii.1998, 2 males, Malaise trap). This species was previously known only from Great Britain and Norway (ROZKOŠNÝ, GREGOR & PONT 1997) and male differs from Fannia pseu donorvegica (except genitalia - compare Figs. 12a and 13b by ROZKOŠNÝ, GREGOR & PONT 1997) in having one postocular row of setulae (2 - 3 in F. pseudonorvegica) and hind femur with full row of long pv setae, mostly longer than femoral depth (with only se
