Description
| - Herbicide pollution of soil and water remain a serious problems for many years. A precise, cheap and fast detection of herbicide presistence in soil is needed. A classical chemical analytical methods of its detection like HPLC can not fulfill this expectations. We have constructed a sensitive biosensor for detection of class of herbicides based on isolated photosystem II from thermophilic cyanobacteria Synechococcus elongatus. Here we present an comparative study of herbicide izoproturon detection in soil extracts using HPLC, biosensor detection and fluorescence detection based biotests. Results has clearly shown a reliability and usibility of our biosensor for prescreening of wide number of field samples contaminated with photosynthetic herbicides.
