  • Twin-roll casting (TRC) is an advantageous substitution for Direct-Chill (DC) casting in the manufacturing of Al rolled products. The phase transformations and their interaction with recrystallization during annealing of TRC Al-Mn alloys with different Mn, Si and Fe contents are studied. Precipitation was studied in the course of a linear heating by resistometry. Microstructural processes responsible for observed resistivity changes were identified by TEM of quenched specimens. Changes in microstructure and solute content during homogenisations were monitored by conductivity and hardness measurements and polarised light microscopy. The temperature and kinetics of phase transformations are influenced by the contents of Mn and Si content. Decomposition of solid solution and transformation of primary phases occur in larger temperature range in alloys with low Si content. Precipitation of Mn and Si, concurrent to recrystallization, retards the latter.

  • Při výrobě hliníkových válcovaných produktů je lití mezi válce (TRC) vhodnou náhradou za ingotové lití. Byly studovány fázové transformace a jejich interakce s rekrystalizací při žíhání TRC slitin Al-Mn s různým obsahem Mn, Si a Fe. V průběhu lineárního ohřevu byla rezistometricky studována precipitace. Mikrostrukturní procesy spojené se změnou rezistivity byly identifikovány TEM rozbory rychle ochlazených vzorků. Změny mikrostruktury a složení tuhého roztoku při homogenizaci byly sledovány měřením konduktivity a tvrdosti a strukturním rozborem. Teplota a kinetika fázových transformací jsou ovlivněny obsahem Mn a Si. Rozpad tuhého roztoku a transformace primárních fází probíhají v širším teplotním intervalu u slitin s nizším obsahem Si. Precipitace Mn a Si zároveň s rekrystalizací ji posouvá k vyšším teplotám. (cs)
