  • When developing plaster mixtures it is important to know the development of the mechanical properties of the developed materials depending on time. Knowledge of the increase of the strength and modulus of elasticity is important from the viewpoint of the application of plaster systems in practice. This primarily concerns the determination of the minimum time for maturing plasters from the viewpoint of the surface treatment application and also from the viewpoint of the production of plasters with more layers. In the case of the ultrasound impulse method, on the basis of the knowledge of the speed of ultrasound waves, it is possible to determine the expected values of the compressive strength of the materials and value of the modulus of elasticity.
