Description
| - Lecture at the Department of German at the University of Augsburg (Department of the New German Literature - prof. Dr. Mathias Mayer.)shows on the example of translations of an early poem “Where we have Salt at Home” and a late one “The Path” the span of Skácel's work - between folk literature (Moravian sentiment) and classical modernism (world literature); between one dominated by a poetic image and one preoccupied with consonant instrumentation. The theme of salt references Karel Jaromir Erben's fairy tales as well as the alchemy of modern lyricism. (en)
