  • In the period between the World Wars, there were several auction houses in Prague trading in fine art and antiques. Charles Rosenkranz’s Maison Antique company managed to respond adequately to the period situation with its focus on luxury goods coming from, among others, estates liquidated within the framework of land reform. Thanks to the auction catalogues, we have an overview of several important collections of fine art and castle furnishings in the state they were preserved in the area of the Czech Republic in the 1920s and1930s.
