  • Soil organic matter under different tillage and fertilization system of the long-term bare fallow experiment established in 1958 in Prague was characterized in the period of 1972-2006. This experiment consists of seven variants [control (no tillage, no manuring); farmyard manure compost (FYM); 2FYM; mineral fertilization (NPK); 2NPK; reduced tillage, no fertilizers (RT) and conventional tillage, no fertilizers (CT)]. In 1989, regular manuring and tillage were terminated and since then only weeds have still been removed mechanically. Organic carbon content (Cox ) was analysed and the hydrophobic (A) and hydrophilic (B) functional groups were determined using Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Soil wettability (A/B ratio) was assessed in the experimental variants. Organic manuring (FYM and 2FYM plots) increased significantly Cox content and intensities of hydrophobic (A) functional groups in FTIR spectra as compared to the control variant.   • V období let 1972-2006 byla v úhorovém pokusu s různým hnojením a orbou založeném v roce 1958 v Praze sledována půdní organická hmota. Tento pokus se skládá ze sedmi variant [kontrola (bez orba a hnojení); hnojení kompostem (FYM); 2FYM; minerální hnojení (NPK); 2NPK; redukovaná orba bez hnojení(RT) a konvenční orba bez hnojení(CT)]. V roce 1989 bylo pravidelné hnojení a orba ukončeny a od té doby jsou pouze mechanicky odstraňovány plevely. Byl sledován obsah organického C (Cox) a pomocí FTIR spektroskopie byly stanoveny hydrofobní (A) a hydrofilní (B) funkční skupiny spektra. V pokusných variantách byla hodnocena půdní smáčivost. V porovnání s kontrolní variantou organické hnojení (FYM a 2FYM) zvýšilo signifikantně obsah Cox a intensity hydrofobních (A) funkčních skupin ve FTIR spektru. Vysoce významné pozitivní korelace (r=0.969; p<0.05) byly stanoveny mezi hydrofobními funkčními skupinami (Band A) a obsahem Cox, hydrofilní skupiny s Cox nekorelovaly.
