Description
| - The occurrence of herbs in the grassland herbage was expressed by an increased gas production during 24h fermentation (in the case of dandelion) or a decreased production (other herbs). The stimulation after addition of dandelion only occurred with 1 : 9 dilution ratio to red clover, and to perennial ryegrass, but not to lucerne. Taraxacum officinale must be considered a valuable herb provided that its proportion in the grassland does not exceed 20 %. The addition of other plants led to lower gas production, with Rumex obtusifolius showing the highest decrease.
