| Description
| - The aim of this project is to develop standardized diets for laboratory animals based on natural and well defined and checked components, using the raw fibres concentrates and other natural components for laboratory inbred mice, rats, rabbits, quinea pigs and inbred chickens. The aim of the project also is the standardization of testing procedures, control and validation of feed production. The same is true for developping and testing of standardized types of beddings for laboratory animals. The result of proposed projects should lead not only to standardized definiton of laboratory animals but should contribute to the protection of enviroment. (en)

| - We have changed the composition of the diet of laboratory mice and rats kept in barrier husbandry conditions, and have added natural cellulose (1.5%), with no impact on the intestinal villi or on lactobacilli in the large intestine. This change has improved the pellets’ quality and reduced the amount of crumbling. The higher dietary standard ensures that the animals are of the required quality. (en)
- Inovace diet, určených především pro laboratorní myši a potkany v barierových chovech, zahrnovala změny ve skladbě komponent a v zařazení přirodní celulózy. Přídavek celulózy (1,5 %) neovlivnil stav klků střeva ani počet laktobacilů v tlustém střevě, zlepšil však kvalitu granulí a snížil jejich odrol. Dosažená vyšší standardnost diet napomáhá k zajištění požadované kvality zvířat. (cs)
