| Description
| - Drowning is the second most frequent cause of death after traffic injuries. The project deals with the group of injuries concerning the actual drowning and other injuries, the occurence of which can be put in connection with water tanks or water sources. The literature distinguishes the concept of the actual drowning, i.e. drowning as a resutl of diving, injuries connected with water and conditions where the so-called %22near drowning%22 occured. This is a one-year retrospective study (2001) and a two-year prospective study (2002, 2003, 2004), further there will be developed an information system concerning collection of data to the topic of drowning and injuries of persons. On the basis of the obtained information, the authors will develop a plan of regional and national programs which will be presented to the leaders of the individual regions for implementation. (en)
- Utonutí je v ČR druhou nejčastější příčinnou úmrtí po dopravních úrazech. Projekt se zabývá skupinou zranění, která se táýkají vlastního utonutí a dalších zranění, jejichž vznik lze dávat do souvislosti s vodními nádržemi či zdroji vody. V literatuřže se rozlišuje pojem vlastního utonutí tj. utonutí v důsledku potopení, zranění související s vodou a stavy, kdy došlo %22málem%22 k utopení (tzv. near drowning). Jedná se o jednoletou retrospektivní studii (2001) a dvouletou prospektivní studii (2002, 2003, 2004), dále o vypracování informačního systému týkajícího se sběru dat problematiky utonutí a poranění osob. Na podkladě získaných informací vypracují autoři plán oblastních i národních programů a tyto budou předloženy vedením jednotlivých krajů k realizaci.
