Description
  • The main objective is to collate existing knowledge of halophytes from gene function to ecosystems that will impact on conservation and management of saline environments and agricultural productions. During proposed work, we will study the mechanisms of stress response of halophytes to heavy metals with the aim of utilization of achieved results for sustainable land management and phytoremediation of contaminated areas.   • Suspenzní kulrury Plantago maritima L.se prokázaly jako výhodný model pro svůj rychlý růst a schopnost rychlé akumulace po kadmia. Zvolená koncentrace kadmia v kultivačním médiu - 50µM neměla negativní vliv na růst buněčné suspenze ani na růst in vitro semenáčků rostlin, podle naměřených fyziologických parametrů (aktivity antioxidačních enzymů, obsah sorbitolu) způsobila pouze mírný stres.   • The suspension culture of Plantago maritima L was proved as the suitable model due the fast growth and fast and high accumulation of cadmium. Based on the measurement of physiological aspects (activity of antioxidant enzymes and changes in accumulation of sorbitol) was demonstrated that the representative concentration of cadmium in cultivation medium - 50µM cause only a little stress.
