The proposed project focuses on the investigations of water balance components for various crops within the range of soil-climatic conditions of the Czech Republic. The first stage of project is based on field micrometeorological measurements and compilation of the database that will allow to determine water balance using range of available methods (Eddy-covariance, Bowen ration, Scintillometry, Lyzimeters, ETgage) within five experimental locations. Prominent part of the project is confrontation of the applied methods (including measures of accuracy and suitability). In the next step the model SoilClim will be re-calibrated using the project database in order to estimate individual components of the water balance (such as actual evapotranspiration, water content in the soil, etc.) for selected vegetation covers. Consequently the SoilClim will be employed for spatial analysis (in resolution 1 x 1 km) of water balance components within the Czech Republic. This procedure will be based on measurements of meteorological variables within 125 stations from the year 1961 to 2000. (en)
Projekt si klade za cíl detailně zkoumat aspekty složek vodní bilance zemědělských porostů v podmínkách České republiky. Dílčím cílem je potom vzájemné porovnání použitých metod pro stanovení vodní bilance a dále provedení kalibrace modelu SoilClim.
