| Description
| - V současnosti se intenzivně rozvíjejí počítačové vědy a zdokonalují se numerické metody a algoritmy v oblasti technických výpočtů na paralelních počítačích. Záměrem projektu je vytvořit na TU v Liberci tým odborníků, který zvládne výpočty na paralelních počítačích, bez nichž se neobejde řešení náročných technických problémů. Tým bude třeba nejprve proškolit, seznámit se současným stavem poznatků a naučit teoreticky i prakticky implementovat paralelní algoritmy. Zapojí se doktorandi a studenti se zájmem o tento obor z TU v Liberci, kteří tak získají nejnovější poznatky v tomto oboru. Výsledky budou referovány na seminářích a konferencích doma i v zahraničí. Využijeme zkušeností partnerů z Matematického ústavu a Ústavu termomechaniky AV ČR, kteří pomohou při školeních. Počítáme se zapojením týmu do mezinárodní spolupráce v oblasti paralelních výpočtů s pracovišti EPCC na Univerzitě v Edinburgu a Univerzitě v Coloradu, která představují světovou špičku v oboru. (cs)
- At present the computer science is developing intensively and numerical methods and algorithms for technological computations on parallel computers are innovated. The main goal of the project is to constitute at Technical University in Liberec a team of experts who will master the computations on paralel computers. Demanding komplex technical problems can not be mastered without it. First the team will be istructed, given present state of knowledge, and then learn theoretically and practically how to implement parallel algorithms. Students of PhD level and Master level from TU Liberec who are interested in the area will join. The results will be delivered at seminars and conferences in Czech Republic and abroad. We will use the experience of partners from Mathematical Institute and Institute of Thermomechanics, who will give advice concerning the seminars and courses. We intend to involve the team to international cooperation in the area of parallel computations with the institutes EPCC at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Colorado at Denver, who represent the leading institutions in the area.
