Description
| - Collimated beams of energetic ions accelerated from thin foil targets by short laser pulses are interesting for various applications, e.g. radiography, isotope production, isochoric heating. As most applications require a narrow energy spectrum of ions, it is desirable to produce quasi-monoenergetic ion beams efficiently. In this paper, a fairly efficient mechanism capable of producing monoenergetic bunches of ions of varies species is presented and studied using one- and two-dimensional particle simulations.

- Kolimované svazky energetických iontů urychlených z tenkých fólií krátkým laserovým pulsem jsou zajímavé z hlediska různých aplikací. Protože mnoho z těchto aplikací vyžaduje uzké energetické spektrum urychlených iontů, je důležité moci efektivně quasi-monoenergetické svazky iontů urychlovat. V tomto článku je prezentován mechanismus, který umožňuje urychlování takových svazků iontů různého druhu a tento mechanismus je studován pomocí jedno- a dvou-dimenzionálních částicových simulací.
