Description
  • Meteorological data from numerical weather models will play an important role in the new strategies of calculating tropospheric delay corrections usable in the processing of data from Global Navigation Satellite Systems. The first part of the paper gives the introduction of selected techniques and the second part provides the assessment of strategies and the interpretation of results. Three interpolation techniques were studied - bi-linear interpolation as one of the most widely used techniques, the interpolation using cubic spline function and kriging as two alternative methods. The results showed that the bi-linear interpolation method may provide up to three times larger errors compared to the other methods.
