Description	Cílem této studie bylo zjistit, zda hustota satelitních buněk v cross-age štěpech je více ovlivněna věkem hostitele či štěpu. U cross-age transplantovaných krysích svalů extensor digitorum longus mladých a starých zvířat jsme zjistili, že hustota satelitních buněk je v mladých svalech vyšší než ve starých kontrolních svalech. Získané údaje o hustotě satelitních buněk v cross-age transplantovaných krysích svalech naznačují, že navzdory zdvojnásobení počtu satelitních buněk a jejich vyššímu výskytu ve starých štěpech transplantovaných do mladého svalu, vliv hostitelského prostředí na tuto vlastnost regenerovaného svalu není tak silný jako je tomu v případě jiných charakteristik (cs) The aim of this study was to find out whether the frequency of satellite cells in cross-age grafts is more influenced by the age of the host or the age of the graft. In extensor digitorum longus cross-age transplanted muscles of young and old animals we have found out that the satellite cell frequebcy was larger in young than in old control muscles. Data on the frequency of satellite cells in cross-age transplanted muscles indicate that despite a doubling of the satellite cell number and a higher incidence in old-into-young transplants, the effect of host environment is not as strong on this property of the regenerated muscle as it is for certain other characteristics The aim of this study was to find out whether the frequency of satellite cells in cross-age grafts is more influenced by the age of the host or the age of the graft.
